Our team is led by interventional cardiologist Dr. Mustafa Mandviwala and Dr. Taher Mandviwala, a father and son duo committed to excellence in cardiac care. Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Northwest Heart Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our cardiologists in delivering high-quality care to our patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside renowned experts in interventional cardiology and contribute to the well-being of individuals with cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical history, and other pertinent information.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs), stress tests, and other diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians.
  • Administer medications and injections under the supervision of a physician.
  • Provide patient education on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, referrals, and coordinating patient care as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred.
  • Prior experience in a cardiology practice or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Proficiency in taking accurate vital signs and performing basic medical procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care and upholding patient confidentiality.
  • Speaking Spanish is a plus
